2015 Review

The 2015 Regional Telecommunications Review has been completed. The Committee appointed to undertake the review was comprised of Ms Deena Shiff (Chair), Ms Su McCluskey, Mr Robin Eckermann and Ms Georgie Somerset.

This Review comes at an important time for people living in remote, rural and regional Australia, with telecommunications infrastructure being upgraded through the rollout of the national broadband network and the Australian Government’s $100 million Mobile Black Spot Programme.

The Committee has delivered its report to the Australian Government and it was tabled in Parliament on 22 October 2015.

The 2011–12 committee's report, 'Regional Communications: Empowering digital communities', was tabled in parliament on 23 May 2012. The committee was chaired by Ms Rosemary Sinclair.
