May security updates from Adobe and Microsoft now available: SSO Alert Priority High
14 May 2014
Microsoft and Adobe have issued their regular monthly Patch Tuesday security updates addressing a range of important and critical vulnerabilities.
Affected products include Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Office, and Adobe Flash Player, Acrobat and Reader.
Microsoft’s updates do not address Windows XP or Office 2003. It has stopped supporting these systems.
It is possible some of the vulnerabilities identified by this month’s security update are evident in unsupported Windows XP or Office 2003 systems. Cyber criminals can now target these vulnerabilities. You should move to a newer operating system as soon as possible.
Microsoft offers a lot of good advice and suggestions on its website, including more detail on the risks of staying on XP, how you can change, and other FAQs.
The information provided here is of a general nature. Everyone's circumstances are different. If you require specific advice you should contact your local technical support provider.
