Subscribers are accessing higher download speeds.

The internet activity survey captures the number of subscribers for different speed tiers (for ISPs with more than 1,000 subscribers). Since June 2010, the number of subscribers with speeds of less than 8 megabytes per second has fallen by 55%. However, during the same period, the number of subscribers with speeds greater than 8 megabytes per second has increased by 216%. It is interesting to note the inflection point at December 2012, where the number of subscribers with speeds greater than 8 megabytes per second bypasses the number of subscribers with speeds less than 8 megabytes per second.
