Gross Value Added by the Information Media and Telecommunications (IMT) sector as a proportion of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) continues to grow.
Gross Value Added by the Information, Media and Telecommunications Services (IMT) sector as a proportion of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has risen from 2.5% to 3.1% over the past 20 years. The current proportion of 3.1% is the highest value over this time series. Employment in the IMT sector has risen by 6% over the same period; peaking in September 2006 before gradually declining.
