The Regional Data Hub will be a central source of data for Australia's regions. It will help improve outcomes for communities by strengthening the evidence-base for future decisions.

Data plays a critical role in helping governments and community decision-makers improve outcomes for regional Australian communities. The Regional Data Hub (the Hub) will improve the evidence-base for regional communities, local leaders and industry by bringing together key economic, demographic and socio-economic data to provide easy access to information about their regions.

The Hub is part of the Australian Government's $13.7 million Better Data Use to Support Delivery for Regional Australians program.

What are the next steps?

We will shortly begin extensive consultation with users and regional stakeholders to help shape the design of the Hub. This will include the release of a discussion paper, which you can submit your views on, and a short survey to understand the data needs of potential users. We will continue to update this page over time as we move from design to implementation of the Hub.
