It is the main industry body for the Australian communications industry. Funded by industry, its members include the mobile and fixed telephone, internet and telecommunications equipment sectors. Communications Alliance develops communications-related industry codes, covering for example technical, operational and consumer matters (such as the Telecommunications Consumer Protections Code), and technical codes.
