The 2019–20 Corporate Plan sets our course for the future, identifying our purposes, operating environment, capability and risk oversight and management.
This paper considers current and possible regulatory frameworks, and the relative strengths and weaknesses of a range of interventions used to regulate the communications sector—it covers black letter law as well as co and self-regulation. It challenges the preference for co-regulation as the preferred regulatory model in the context of evolving technologies, business models and consumer expectations.
This document sets out the Australian Government's revised policy on the provision of telecommunications infrastructure in new developments. The policy's fundamental objective is to increase efficiency and broaden choice in the provision of telecommunications in these areas by encouraging fair competition and ensuring some recovery of costs up front. The policy is effective from 1 March 2015.
