The Regional Telecommunications Independent Review Committee (RTIRC) is reviewing the adequacy of telecommunications services in regional, rural and remote parts of Australia and has released the 2015 Regional Telecommunications Review Issues Paper for public comment.

How you can voice your opinion
You can voice your opinion by providing feedback through the short online submission by Wednesday 15 July 2015. You can also make a formal submission through the RTIRC website.
What will be the outcome of this consultation?
Your feedback will help the committee better understand the state of telecommunications in regional Australia and how government, industry and the community can support access to the services people living in these areas need. The committee will prepare a report of the review setting out recommendations to the Australian Government.

The committee reviews telecommunications services in regional, rural and remote parts of Australia every three years to check the adequacy of those services.

This includes considering whether people in these areas have equitable access to telecommunications services that are currently available in one or more parts of urban Australia.

The 2015 Regional Telecommunications Review Issues Paper outlines the main issues the committee is considering for this review.
