Today, the Government welcomed Telstra’s 100th Queensland base station thanks to the Mobile Black Spot Program.

The new base station will provide residents and businesses in Maaroom and the Fraser Coast Region with reliable mobile coverage.

This is one of 625 new base stations that have been delivered nationwide providing new and improved mobile coverage to black spot locations for thousands of households and businesses.

Under the first three rounds of the program, 867 new base stations will be delivered across the country. The recent announcement of $25 million towards a fourth round of the program shows a commitment to target more black spots areas.

The $220 million Mobile Black Spot Program recently celebrated Telstra switching on its 500th mobile base station in Clarence NSW and the 600th base station under the program.
