As the Department of Communications follows the road to innovation, it faces some challenges but many potential benefits.

During Innovation Month, the Department invited experts in the field to discuss the difficulty and rewards of new approaches. Matt Barrie, an award winning entrepreneur, technologist and lecturer, was joined by Lisa Rauter, from DFAT’s innovationXchange, and Martin Stewart-Weeks, Public Purpose Pty Ltd Principal, to discuss being innovative in a world where conservatism is the safer option.
