We want to hear your views on the ACCC’s Digital Platforms Inquiry final report.

1 August 2019

Following the release of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC’s) Digital Platforms Inquiry final report on 26 July, The Treasury is holding a 12 week public consultation process to seek stakeholder views on the ACCC’s findings and recommendations.

The final report delivers 23 recommendations that respond to the substantial market power of the major digital platforms, their impact on competition in media and advertising markets and implications for news media businesses, advertisers and consumers.

The consultation process provides an opportunity to have your say on practical options for implementation, timing and any impediments or challenges.

Feedback from this process will be considered by the Government as part of its response to the report.

Submissions are due by 12 September 2019 time and can be made through The Treasury website.
