The Australian Government has set out a practical plan for completing the rollout of the national broadband network (nbn) as soon and as cost-effectively as possible. It also looks at the long-term strategy for supporting more competition in the telecommunications sector. 

The plan is a response to the work of the reports by the NBN Panel of Experts (the Vertigan reports):

The government also released a draft policy on Telecommunications infrastructure in new developments for comment.
