The Government has released a discussion paper today to help inform the design of the Regional Connectivity Program, aimed at improving digital connectivity in regional Australia.
We are encouraging submissions from people in the telecommunications industry, all levels of government and other interested stakeholders.
The program will tailor solutions to individual regions as part of the Government's $220 million Stronger Regional Digital Connectivity Package.
This 'place-based' approach is designed to drive full participation in the digital economy for regional communities.
The Regional Connectivity Program is part of the Government 's response to the 2018 Regional Telecommunications Review, which examined the communication needs of people living in the bush.
