The ACMA is an independent statutory authority responsible for regulation of Australia’s communications sector, including telecommunications, broadcasting, spectrum and the internet. The ACMA plays a key role in these dynamic and fast-evolving sectors, ensuring that Australians gain the full benefit of new technologies.
We are seeking a talented leader to serve as Chair of the ACMA. As Chair of the ACMA, you will bring to the job high level leadership skills and vision, the ability to manage large and complex operations, an understanding of regulatory issues, and a demonstrated ability to propose and implement change. The Chair will lead the other Members of the ACMA in executing its regulatory decision-making powers and obligations.
As the public face of the ACMA, you will foster strong collaborative relationships with key industry and government stakeholders across the telecommunications, broadcasting, spectrum and internet sectors.
Remuneration is overseen by the Remuneration Tribunal. The current total remuneration for the position is $522,240.
To be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian citizen.
